한국에서는 지도 서비스 운영 환경이 달라 평소 쓰던 지도 어플이 도보나 대중교통 안내에서 아쉬운 경우가 있습니다.
In Korea, the map service environment is different, so the map app you usually use may fall short in walking or public transit directions.

네이버 지도는 실시간 교통정보를 반영한 도보 및 지하철 경로 안내는 물론, KTX와 고속버스, 시외버스 예매까지 하나의 어플에서 처리할 수 있어 한국 안에서 이동하는 거의 모든 순간에 활용됩니다.
Naver Map offers walking and subway route guidance with real-time traffic information, and even lets you book KTX, express bus, and intercity bus tickets all in one app, making it useful for nearly every moment of travel within Korea.

영어를 포함한 다국어 인터페이스를 지원해 외국인도 무리 없이 사용할 수 있습니다.
It supports a multilingual interface including English, so foreigners can use it without difficulty.

 

2. 택시 잡기, 카카오T와 케이라이드

한국에서 택시를 잡을 때 가장 널리 쓰이는 어플은 카카오T입니다.
Kakao T is the most widely used app for hailing a taxi in Korea.

다만 해외에서 발행된 신용카드를 등록할 때 간혹 오류가 발생하는 경우가 있어, 이런 상황을 겪는 외국인을 위해 케이라이드라는 외국인 전용 택시 어플이 함께 운영되고 있습니다.
However, errors sometimes occur when registering a foreign-issued credit card, so K.ride, a taxi app dedicated to foreigners, is also available for those who run into this issue.

케이라이드는 해외 번호 가입과 해외 카드 결제를 정식으로 지원하도록 설계되어 있어, 카카오T가 원활하지 않을 때 대안으로 알아두면 유용합니다.
K.ride is designed to officially support sign-up with a foreign phone number and payment with a foreign card, making it a useful alternative when Kakao T doesn't work smoothly.

다만 현지인만 아는 로컬 맛집 중에는 예약 시스템 없이 방문 순서대로만 운영되는 곳도 상당수 있으므로, 어플로 모든 맛집을 커버할 수 있다고 기대하기보다는 참고용으로 활용하는 것이 좋습니다.
However, many local hidden gems known only to residents operate on a walk-in only basis without a reservation system, so it's best to treat the app as a reference rather than expecting it to cover every restaurant.
