■ How to Study K-Culture
K문화 학습법
Step 1. Skim the vocabulary list at the bottom of the article to catch the key words and phrases.
1단계. 본문 맨 아래 단어장을 먼저 훑어보며 핵심 어구를 익힙니다.
Step 2. Read the title of the article to grasp the topic.
2단계. 본문 제목을 읽고 주제를 파악합니다.
Step 3. Move through each section, starting with the image.
3단계. 소단락을 하나씩 익히되, 이미지부터 파악합니다.
Step 4. Read the English of the section first and grasp the meaning of each sentence.
4단계. 소단락의 영어를 먼저 보고 문장 의미를 파악합니다.
Step 5. Now read the Korean aloud.
5단계. 이제 한국어를 읽어 봅니다.
Step 6. Try answering the FAQ on your own.
6단계. FAQ에 스스로 답해 봅니다.
Step 7. Study the vocabulary list once more at the end.
7단계. 마지막으로 단어장을 다시 공부합니다..

Q1. 왜 한글 창제부터 시작하나요?
Q1. Why does the order start with the creation of Hangeul?
A1. 한국어를 배우는 사람에게 가장 먼저 필요한 배경이기 때문입니다. 왕이 왜 새 문자를 만들었고 누구를 위해 만들었는지 알면, 지금 배우는 글자가 다르게 보입니다. 배경을 먼저 세우고 소재를 넓혀 가는 것이 이 카테고리의 순서입니다.
A1. Because it is the first piece of background a Korean learner needs. Once you know why a king created a new script and for whom, the letters you are studying look different. Building the background first and then widening the subjects is the order of this category.
Q2. 소재가 매번 다른데 학습법도 달라지나요?
Q2. The subjects change every time, so does the study method change too?
A2. 달라지지 않습니다. 어떤 소재를 다루든 단어장, 제목, 이미지, 영어, 한국어, FAQ의 순서는 똑같습니다. 방식이 고정되어 있기 때문에 소재가 바뀌어도 학습이 끊기지 않습니다.
A2. It does not. Whatever the subject, the order stays the same: vocabulary list, title, image, English, Korean, FAQ. Because the method is fixed, changing subjects never breaks your study.

A3. 됩니다. 배경을 아는 문장은 해석이 아니라 이해가 되고, 이해한 문장의 단어는 오래 남습니다. 한국어 실력과 한국을 아는 눈을 함께 쌓는 것이 이 카테고리의 목적입니다.
A3. Yes. A sentence whose background you know becomes understanding rather than translation, and the words in a sentence you understand stay with you. Building your Korean and your knowledge of Korea together is the purpose of this category.
