These Terms govern the relationship between Hunmin Institute and the members of this website.
Please read them before creating an account, as registration constitutes agreement to them.
본 약관은 훈민학당과 본 웹사이트 회원 사이의 관계를 정합니다.
회원가입은 본 약관에 대한 동의를 의미하므로, 계정을 만들기 전에 읽어 주시기 바랍니다.

Article 1. Purpose제1조 목적

These Terms set out the rights and obligations of Hunmin Institute and its members, the conditions of use, and the procedures relating to the Korean language learning service provided at hunmininstitute.com.본 약관은 hunmininstitute.com에서 제공하는 한국어 학습 서비스와 관련하여 훈민학당과 회원의 권리와 의무, 이용 조건 및 절차를 정하는 것을 목적으로 합니다.

Article 2. Definitions제2조 용어의 정의

1"the Institute" means Hunmin Institute, the operator of this website'본원'이란 본 웹사이트를 운영하는 훈민학당을 말합니다

2"the Service" means all Korean language learning content and functions provided by the Institute at hunmininstitute.com'서비스'란 본원이 hunmininstitute.com에서 제공하는 모든 한국어 학습 콘텐츠와 기능을 말합니다

3"Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms, completed registration, and been granted an account'회원'이란 본 약관에 동의하고 가입 절차를 완료하여 계정을 부여받은 사람을 말합니다

4"Account" means the combination of an email address and password used to identify a Member and to access the Service'계정'이란 회원을 식별하고 서비스에 접속하기 위해 사용하는 이메일 주소와 비밀번호의 조합을 말합니다

5"Display name" means the name a Member chooses to be shown within the Service, which need not be the Member's legal name'표시용 이름'이란 회원이 서비스 내에 표시되도록 선택한 이름을 말하며, 실명일 필요는 없습니다

6"Learning materials" means all vocabulary lists, worksheets, audio files, video, texts, images, and other content provided through the Service'학습 자료'란 서비스를 통해 제공되는 단어장, 워크시트, 오디오 파일, 영상, 원고, 이미지 등 모든 콘텐츠를 말합니다

Article 3. Effect and Scope of Application제3조 약관의 효력과 적용 범위

These Terms are published on this website so that Members may read them at any time. They take effect between the Institute and a Member when the Member agrees to them and completes registration.본 약관은 회원이 언제든지 확인할 수 있도록 본 웹사이트에 게시합니다. 본 약관은 회원이 이에 동의하고 가입 절차를 완료한 때에 본원과 회원 사이에 효력이 발생합니다.

These Terms apply only to hunmininstitute.com. The Institute's blog (blog.hunmininstitute.com) requires no registration and is governed by the separate notices published on that site.본 약관은 hunmininstitute.com에만 적용됩니다. 본원의 블로그(blog.hunmininstitute.com)는 회원가입을 요구하지 않으며 해당 사이트에 게시된 별도의 고지가 적용됩니다.

Matters not provided for in these Terms are governed by the Privacy Policy, the Disclaimer, and any operating rules published on this website, and thereafter by applicable law and general commercial practice. In the event of a conflict, these Terms prevail over operating rules, and the Privacy Policy prevails over these Terms in relation to the handling of personal information.본 약관에 정하지 않은 사항은 본 웹사이트에 게시된 개인정보 처리방침, 면책 조항 및 운영 규칙에 따르고, 그 밖의 사항은 관련 법령과 일반 상관례에 따릅니다. 충돌이 있는 경우 본 약관이 운영 규칙에 우선하며, 개인정보의 처리에 관하여는 개인정보 처리방침이 본 약관에 우선합니다.

Article 4. Formation of the Membership Agreement제4조 이용계약의 성립

A person wishing to become a Member applies by entering an email address, a password, a display name, and a year of birth in the registration form and indicating agreement to these Terms. This constitutes an offer to enter into the membership agreement.회원이 되고자 하는 사람은 가입 양식에 이메일 주소, 비밀번호, 표시용 이름, 출생연도를 입력하고 본 약관에 동의함으로써 가입을 신청합니다. 이 신청은 이용계약의 청약에 해당합니다.

The membership agreement is formed at the moment the Institute accepts the application and the account is created. Acceptance is confirmed by the account becoming usable and by the confirmation notice sent to the registered email address.이용계약은 본원이 신청을 승낙하여 계정이 생성된 시점에 성립합니다. 승낙은 계정이 이용 가능한 상태가 되고 가입한 이메일 주소로 확인 안내가 발송되는 것으로 확인됩니다.

The applicant is responsible for entering an email address that is accurate and under the applicant's own control. The Institute is not responsible for consequences arising from an incorrect address or from an address belonging to another person.정확하고 본인이 관리하는 이메일 주소를 입력할 책임은 신청자에게 있습니다. 잘못된 주소나 타인의 주소를 입력하여 발생한 결과에 대하여 본원은 책임을 지지 않습니다.

Article 5. Refusal or Reservation of Registration제5조 가입의 거절 및 유보

The Institute may refuse an application, or withhold acceptance until the grounds are resolved, in any of the following cases.본원은 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 경우 가입 신청을 거절하거나 그 사유가 해소될 때까지 승낙을 유보할 수 있습니다.

1The applicant does not meet the age requirement in Article 6제6조의 연령 요건을 충족하지 않는 경우

2The email address is already registered, or the display name impersonates another person or the Institute이미 가입된 이메일 주소인 경우, 또는 표시용 이름이 타인이나 본원을 사칭하는 경우

3The display name is obscene, discriminatory, or contrary to public order and morals표시용 이름이 음란하거나 차별적이거나 공서양속에 반하는 경우

4The applicant previously lost membership under Article 14, unless the Institute has consented to re-registration과거 제14조에 따라 회원 자격을 상실한 사람인 경우. 다만 본원이 재가입에 동의한 경우는 예외로 합니다

5The application is made by automated means, in bulk, or for a purpose other than learning, such as collecting or reselling the learning materials자동화된 수단이나 대량으로 신청한 경우, 또는 학습 자료의 수집이나 재판매 등 학습 외의 목적으로 신청한 경우

6Acceptance would breach applicable law, or the Institute lacks the technical or operational capacity to provide the Service at that time승낙이 관련 법령에 위반되는 경우, 또는 본원의 기술적·운영상 여력이 부족한 경우

Article 6. Minors제6조 미성년자

Registration in one's own name is available only to persons aged 16 or older.본인 명의의 회원가입은 만 16세 이상인 사람만 할 수 있습니다.

Learners under the age of 16 are welcome to study with the Institute but may not create an account themselves. In such a case a parent or legal guardian must create and hold the account in the guardian's own name. The guardian is the Member, is the party to this agreement, and is responsible for supervising the learner's use of the Service.만 16세 미만의 학습자도 본원에서 학습할 수 있으나 본인이 직접 계정을 개설할 수는 없습니다. 이 경우 법정대리인(보호자)이 자신의 명의로 계정을 개설하여 보유해야 하며, 회원이자 본 계약의 당사자는 법정대리인이고 학습자의 서비스 이용을 감독할 책임 또한 법정대리인에게 있습니다.

The threshold of 16 is adopted because Members reside in countries with differing standards. The Republic of Korea requires the consent of a legal representative for children under 14, the EU General Data Protection Regulation sets the threshold at 16 while permitting member states to lower it to 13, and the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act applies below 13. Applying the highest of these thresholds satisfies all of them, and by requiring the guardian to be the account holder, a separate consent verification procedure is not needed.기준을 만 16세로 정한 이유는 회원이 기준을 달리하는 여러 국가에 거주하기 때문입니다. 대한민국은 만 14세 미만 아동에 대하여 법정대리인의 동의를 요구하고, 유럽연합 일반개인정보보호규정(GDPR)은 만 16세를 기준으로 하되 회원국이 만 13세까지 낮출 수 있도록 하며, 미국 아동온라인프라이버시보호법(COPPA)은 만 13세 미만에 적용됩니다. 이 중 가장 높은 기준을 적용하면 위 기준을 모두 충족하며, 법정대리인이 계정 명의자가 되도록 함으로써 별도의 동의 확인 절차를 요하지 않습니다.

If the Institute becomes aware that an account was created by a person under the age of 16, it may terminate the account and delete the associated information without delay. A parent or legal guardian may request such deletion at the contact address in Article 20.만 16세 미만인 사람이 계정을 개설한 사실을 본원이 알게 된 경우, 본원은 해당 계정을 해지하고 관련 정보를 지체 없이 삭제할 수 있습니다. 법정대리인은 제20조의 연락처로 삭제를 요청할 수 있습니다.

Article 7. Obligations of the Member제7조 회원의 의무

An account is granted to one person and may be used only by that person. Sharing, lending, transferring, selling, or otherwise allowing another person to use an account is prohibited, whether or not any payment is involved.계정은 한 사람에게 부여되며 그 사람만 사용할 수 있습니다. 대가의 유무를 불문하고 계정을 공유, 대여, 양도, 판매하거나 타인이 이용하도록 하는 행위를 금지합니다.

Members are responsible for managing their own password. The Institute stores passwords only as one-way hashes and cannot recover a password in its original form. Members should choose a password that is not used elsewhere and should not disclose it to anyone.비밀번호의 관리 책임은 회원에게 있습니다. 본원은 비밀번호를 단방향 해시 값으로만 저장하므로 원문을 복원할 수 없습니다. 회원은 다른 곳에서 사용하지 않는 비밀번호를 선택하고 이를 타인에게 알리지 않아야 합니다.

If a Member becomes aware that the account has been used by another person or that the password has been exposed, the Member must change the password immediately and notify the Institute. The Institute is not liable for damage arising before such notification is received, except where the damage is attributable to the Institute's intent or negligence.회원은 자신의 계정이 타인에 의해 이용되었거나 비밀번호가 노출된 사실을 알게 된 경우 즉시 비밀번호를 변경하고 본원에 통지해야 합니다. 본원은 그 통지를 받기 전에 발생한 손해에 대하여 책임을 지지 않습니다. 다만 본원의 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해는 그러하지 아니합니다.

Members must keep their registered email address current, must not impersonate another person, and must comply with these Terms and applicable law.회원은 가입한 이메일 주소를 최신 상태로 유지해야 하고, 타인을 사칭해서는 안 되며, 본 약관과 관련 법령을 준수해야 합니다.

Article 8. Obligations of the Institute제8조 본원의 의무

The Institute shall provide the Service continuously and stably in accordance with these Terms, and shall not discriminate between Members without reasonable cause.본원은 본 약관에 따라 서비스를 계속적이고 안정적으로 제공하며, 합리적인 이유 없이 회원을 차별하지 않습니다.

The Institute shall handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law, and shall not use it beyond the purposes stated there.본원은 개인정보 처리방침과 관련 법령에 따라 개인정보를 처리하며, 그곳에 명시된 목적을 넘어 이용하지 않습니다.

The Institute shall deal with reasonable opinions and complaints from Members through the contact address in Article 20 and shall explain the handling and the result within a reasonable period.본원은 회원이 제기하는 정당한 의견과 불만을 제20조의 연락처를 통해 처리하며, 처리 경과와 결과를 합리적인 기간 내에 안내합니다.

Article 9. Scope of the Service제9조 서비스의 제공 범위

The Institute provides Korean language learning materials, including vocabulary lists, worksheets, audio files, and video, to Members through this website, limited to the content published on the blog. The Service is provided on an annual fee basis, and fees are governed by Article 12. Some video is provided by way of an embedded player hosted on an external service; the conditions under which it is loaded are set out in Article 4 of the Privacy Policy. The scope of the Service is limited to providing access to those materials.본원은 블로그사이트에 업로드된 내용에 한하여 단어장, 워크시트, 오디오 파일, 영상을 포함한 한국어 학습 자료를 본 웹사이트를 통해 회원에게 제공합니다. 서비스는 연 이용료 방식으로 제공되며, 이용료에 관하여는 제12조에 정한 바에 따릅니다. 영상의 일부는 외부 서비스에 게시된 재생기를 통해 제공되며, 그 재생기가 불러와지는 조건은 개인정보 처리방침 제4조에 정한 바에 따릅니다. 서비스의 범위는 해당 자료에 대한 접근을 제공하는 것에 한합니다.

Unless separately announced, the Service does not include individual instruction, tutoring, correction of assignments, examination preparation counselling, certification, or the issuance of any credential.별도로 안내하지 않는 한, 서비스에는 개별 수업, 첨삭 지도, 시험 상담, 자격 인증, 수료증 등의 발급이 포함되지 않습니다.

The Service is provided twenty-four hours a day in principle, except during scheduled maintenance or where interruption occurs for the reasons stated in Article 11. Members access the Service using their own internet connection and device, and the resulting communication charges are borne by the Member.서비스는 원칙적으로 연중무휴 24시간 제공됩니다. 다만 정기 점검 시간과 제11조의 사유로 중단되는 경우는 예외로 합니다. 회원은 자신의 인터넷 연결과 기기를 통해 서비스에 접속하며, 그에 따른 통신 요금은 회원이 부담합니다.

Article 10. Copyright in the Learning Materials제10조 학습 자료의 저작권과 이용 범위

Copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the learning materials, including texts, images, audio, video, worksheets, vocabulary lists, curriculum structure, and the design of the Service, belong to the Institute. Registration as a Member grants a right to use the materials as set out below; it does not transfer any right in them.원고, 이미지, 오디오, 영상, 워크시트, 단어장, 커리큘럼 구성, 서비스 디자인을 포함한 학습 자료의 저작권과 그 밖의 지식재산권은 본원에 귀속됩니다. 회원가입은 아래에 정한 범위에서 자료를 이용할 권리를 부여할 뿐이며, 자료에 대한 어떠한 권리도 이전하지 않습니다.

Members are permitted to view the learning materials on screen for their own study, to print worksheets and other printable materials for their own study, and to play audio files for their own study.회원은 개인적인 학습을 위하여 학습 자료를 화면으로 열람하고, 워크시트 등 출력 가능한 자료를 출력하며, 오디오 파일을 재생할 수 있습니다.

The following are prohibited without the prior written consent of the Institute.본원의 사전 서면 동의 없이 다음의 행위를 금지합니다.

1Reproducing, distributing, transmitting, publishing, or displaying the materials beyond the scope of personal study개인적인 학습의 범위를 넘어 자료를 복제, 배포, 전송, 공중송신, 전시하는 행위

2Using the materials for any commercial purpose, including classroom teaching for a fee, resale, and inclusion in a paid product or service유료 강의, 재판매, 유료 상품이나 서비스에의 포함 등 영리 목적으로 자료를 이용하는 행위

3Creating derivative works by translating, adapting, editing, or restructuring the materials자료를 번역, 각색, 편집, 재구성하여 2차적저작물을 작성하는 행위

4Collecting the materials by automated means, including crawlers, scrapers, bots, and bulk downloading tools크롤러, 스크래퍼, 봇, 대량 내려받기 도구 등 자동화된 수단으로 자료를 수집하는 행위

5Using the materials as training data for artificial intelligence models, or providing them to a third party for that purpose자료를 인공지능 모델의 학습 데이터로 이용하거나 그 목적으로 제3자에게 제공하는 행위

6Circumventing or attempting to circumvent access controls, or removing copyright notices and watermarks접근 통제 장치를 우회하거나 우회를 시도하는 행위, 저작권 표시나 워터마크를 제거하는 행위

Limited quotation that clearly states the source and links to the original is permitted with the approval of the Institute. Institution names, trade names, trademarks, and service names mentioned in the materials belong to their respective rights holders and are used for explanatory purposes only.출처와 원문 링크를 명시한 일부 인용은 본원의 승인하에 허용합니다. 자료에 언급된 기관명, 상호, 상표, 서비스명은 각 권리자에게 귀속되며 설명을 위한 목적으로만 사용되었습니다.

Article 11. Change and Suspension of the Service제11조 서비스의 변경과 중단

The Institute may change the content, structure, or method of provision of the Service in order to improve it. Where a change is material and disadvantageous to Members, notice will be given in advance in accordance with Article 18.본원은 서비스의 개선을 위하여 서비스의 내용, 구성, 제공 방식을 변경할 수 있습니다. 변경이 중대하고 회원에게 불리한 경우에는 제18조에 따라 사전에 고지합니다.

The Service may be suspended temporarily and without prior notice in the event of maintenance, repair or replacement of equipment, failure of a communication line, a natural disaster, a power outage, a failure on the part of a service provider on which the Institute relies, or a similar cause beyond the Institute's control. In such cases the Institute shall give notice after the fact.설비의 보수·교체, 통신 회선의 장애, 천재지변, 정전, 본원이 이용하는 사업자의 장애 등 본원의 통제를 벗어난 사유가 있는 경우 서비스는 사전 고지 없이 일시적으로 중단될 수 있습니다. 이 경우 본원은 사후에 그 사실을 안내합니다.

The Institute may discontinue all or part of the Service. In that case notice will be given on this website and by email at least thirty days in advance, together with the reason and the date of discontinuation.본원은 서비스의 전부 또는 일부를 종료할 수 있습니다. 이 경우 종료 사유와 종료 일자를 최소 30일 전에 본 웹사이트와 이메일로 고지합니다.

Article 12. Fees제12조 이용료

The Service is provided on an annual fee basis.본 서비스는 연 이용료 방식으로 제공됩니다.

Members who join by 30 September 2026 may use the Service without a fee for three months from the date of registration.2026년 9월 30일까지 가입하신 회원은 가입일로부터 3개월간 이용료 없이 이용하실 수 있습니다.

The fee, the billing cycle, the method of payment, and the conditions of cancellation and refund are announced on this website and by email at least thirty days before charging begins.이용 요금, 결제 주기, 결제 방법, 해지 및 환불 조건은 이용료 부과가 개시되기 최소 30일 전에 본 웹사이트와 이메일로 안내해 드립니다.

No Member is charged automatically as a result of this Article. A fee is charged only where the Member separately applies and expressly agrees to the payment terms after the notice, and no charge arises for a Member who does not so agree.본 조를 근거로 회원에게 자동으로 요금이 부과되는 일은 없습니다. 이용료는 안내 이후 회원이 별도로 신청하고 결제 조건에 명시적으로 동의한 경우에만 부과되며, 동의하지 않은 회원에게는 어떠한 요금도 발생하지 않습니다.

A Member who chooses not to pay keeps their membership account, and only access to the learning materials is restricted. Such a Member may also withdraw from membership under Article 15, and the withdrawal shall be processed without any disadvantage to the Member.이용료를 결제하지 않으시는 회원의 계정은 그대로 유지되며 학습 자료에 대한 접근만 제한됩니다. 해당 회원은 제15조에 따라 탈퇴하실 수도 있으며, 이 경우 본원은 회원에게 어떠한 불이익도 없이 탈퇴를 처리합니다.

Before charging begins, the Institute shall publish the fee, the refund and cancellation conditions, and the identity of the payment service provider.이용료 부과 개시 전에 본원은 이용 요금, 환불 및 해지 조건, 결제대행사의 명칭을 게시합니다.

Article 13. Prohibited Conduct제13조 금지 행위

Members shall not engage in any of the following.회원은 다음의 행위를 하여서는 안 됩니다.

1Registering false information, impersonating another person, or using another person's account허위 정보를 등록하거나 타인을 사칭하거나 타인의 계정을 이용하는 행위

2Any act prohibited under Article 10 in relation to the learning materials학습 자료에 관하여 제10조에서 금지한 행위

3Interfering with the operation of the Service, including unauthorized access, imposing an excessive load on the servers, and transmitting malicious code부정 접속, 서버에 과도한 부하를 주는 행위, 악성 코드의 전송 등 서비스 운영을 방해하는 행위

4Infringing the rights of the Institute or of another person, or damaging their reputation본원 또는 타인의 권리를 침해하거나 명예를 훼손하는 행위

5Any act contrary to applicable law or to public order and morals관련 법령이나 공서양속에 반하는 행위

Article 14. Suspension and Loss of Membership제14조 회원 자격의 정지와 상실

Where a Member breaches these Terms, the Institute may restrict the use of the Service, suspend the account temporarily, or terminate the membership agreement.회원이 본 약관을 위반한 경우 본원은 서비스 이용을 제한하거나 계정을 일시 정지하거나 이용계약을 해지할 수 있습니다.

Before taking such a measure the Institute shall state the reason and give the Member a reasonable opportunity to explain, except where prior notice is impracticable because the breach is continuing and is causing damage. Where the breach is capable of being cured, a period to cure it shall be allowed.본원은 조치 전에 사유를 알리고 회원에게 소명할 기회를 부여합니다. 다만 위반이 계속되어 손해가 발생하고 있어 사전 통지가 어려운 경우에는 그러하지 아니합니다. 시정이 가능한 위반의 경우에는 시정 기간을 부여합니다.

Membership may be terminated immediately where a Member reproduces or distributes the learning materials on a large scale, collects them by automated means, uses them for a commercial purpose or as training data for an artificial intelligence model, sells or shares the account, or repeats a breach after a prior measure has been taken.회원이 학습 자료를 대량으로 복제·배포하거나, 자동화된 수단으로 수집하거나, 영리 목적 또는 인공지능 모델의 학습 데이터로 이용하거나, 계정을 판매·공유하거나, 이전 조치 이후 위반을 반복한 경우에는 즉시 이용계약을 해지할 수 있습니다.

Upon termination the account is deleted and access to the Service ceases. Termination does not affect any claim the Institute may have for damage already caused.해지 시 계정은 삭제되고 서비스 이용은 종료됩니다. 해지는 이미 발생한 손해에 관한 본원의 청구에 영향을 미치지 않습니다.

Article 15. Withdrawal of Membership제15조 회원 탈퇴

A Member may withdraw at any time through the account settings, or by sending a request from the registered email address to the contact address in Article 20. Withdrawal requires no reason and is not subject to approval.회원은 계정 설정을 통해 또는 가입한 이메일 주소에서 제20조의 연락처로 요청하여 언제든지 탈퇴할 수 있습니다. 탈퇴에는 사유가 필요하지 않으며 본원의 승인을 요하지 않습니다.

The membership agreement terminates when the withdrawal is processed. Personal information is then destroyed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, and learning records held in the account are destroyed together with it and cannot be restored, so Members should save anything they wish to keep before withdrawing.이용계약은 탈퇴가 처리된 때에 종료됩니다. 이후 개인정보는 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 파기되며, 계정에 보관된 학습 기록도 함께 파기되어 복원할 수 없으므로 보관이 필요한 내용은 탈퇴 전에 저장해 주시기 바랍니다.

A person who has withdrawn may register again using the same email address, but the new account does not inherit any record from the previous one.탈퇴한 사람은 동일한 이메일 주소로 다시 가입할 수 있으나, 새 계정은 이전 계정의 기록을 승계하지 않습니다.

Article 16. Disclaimer제16조 면책

The learning materials are prepared with care on the basis of the most current sources available at the time of writing. The Institute does not guarantee their completeness or currency, and the possibility of inaccuracies arising from errors during preparation or from the source material itself cannot be excluded.학습 자료는 작성 시점을 기준으로 최신 자료에 근거하여 정확성을 기하고 있습니다. 다만 본원은 그 완전성이나 최신성을 보증하지 않으며, 작성 과정의 오류나 원자료 자체의 부정확성으로 인해 사실과 다른 내용이 포함될 가능성을 배제할 수 없습니다.

Korean laws and regulations, visa and immigration procedures, administrative processes and requirements, and the operating policies of institutions and businesses are subject to change without prior notice. Before acting on any information contained in the learning materials, Members must verify the latest details through the official announcements of the relevant institution.한국의 법령과 제도, 비자 및 출입국 절차, 각종 행정 절차와 요건, 기관과 업소의 운영 방침 등은 사전 고지 없이 변경될 수 있습니다. 회원은 학습 자료에 포함된 정보를 실제 행동에 옮기기 전에 해당 기관의 공식 발표를 통해 최신 내용을 직접 확인해야 합니다.

Images, illustrations, and videos used in the learning materials are educational visual aids created in-house using artificial intelligence to help learners understand the Korean text. They are not photographs or faithful reproductions of specific places, persons, products, or situations, and may differ from the actual appearance, structure, layout, scale, signage, or operating methods of the subjects depicted.학습 자료에 사용된 이미지, 삽화, 영상은 한국어 원고의 이해를 돕기 위해 인공지능을 활용하여 자체 제작한 교육용 시각 자료입니다. 특정 장소와 인물, 상품, 상황을 사실 그대로 촬영하거나 재현한 것이 아니며, 실제 대상의 외관, 구조, 배치, 규모, 표기, 운영 방식 등과 다를 수 있습니다.

The learning materials are intended to provide general information on Korean language learning and life in Korea. The Institute is not liable for the unavailability of the Service caused by a natural disaster, a power outage, a failure of a communication line, an act of a third party, or another cause beyond its control, nor for damage caused by a Member's own fault, including failure to manage a password. Article 17. Transfer of Business or Merger제17조 사업의 양도와 합병

If the Institute transfers its business or is merged, the membership agreement and the rights and obligations under it may be succeeded to by the transferee or the surviving entity.본원이 사업을 양도하거나 합병되는 경우, 이용계약과 그에 따른 권리와 의무는 양수인 또는 존속 법인에 승계될 수 있습니다.

In such a case the Institute shall notify Members in advance, on this website and by email, of the fact of the succession, the identity of the succeeding party, and the date on which it takes effect. A Member who does not wish the agreement to be succeeded to may withdraw before that date, and shall suffer no disadvantage by reason of doing so. Where an amendment is disadvantageous to Members, including a transition to paid services under Article 12, notice shall be given on this website and by email at least thirty days in advance, and the previous text shall be shown alongside the amended text so that the change can be compared.제12조에 따른 유료 전환을 포함하여 회원에게 불리한 변경의 경우에는 최소 30일 전에 본 웹사이트와 이메일로 고지하며, 변경 전후의 내용을 비교할 수 있도록 함께 게시합니다.

A Member who does not agree to an amendment may withdraw before the date of effect. Where an amendment is disadvantageous to Members and a Member neither expresses refusal nor withdraws before the date of effect after having been notified as above, the Member shall be deemed to have agreed. Article 19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction제19조 준거법과 관할

These Terms and the membership agreement are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea.본 약관과 이용계약에는 대한민국 법을 적용합니다.

This choice of law does not deprive a Member who is a consumer of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which the Member habitually resides. Where those rules give the Member greater protection, they prevail to that extent.이러한 준거법의 선택은 소비자인 회원이 상거소지 국가의 강행적인 소비자보호 규정에 따라 받는 보호를 박탈하지 않습니다. 해당 규정이 회원에게 더 유리한 보호를 부여하는 경우 그 범위에서 해당 규정이 우선합니다.

The courts of the Republic of Korea have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of these Terms. A Member who is a consumer may also bring proceedings before the competent court of the country in which the Member habitually resides, and this Article does not restrict that right.본 약관에서 발생하는 분쟁에 대하여 대한민국 법원은 비전속적 관할을 가집니다. 소비자인 회원은 자신의 상거소지 국가의 관할 법원에도 소를 제기할 수 있으며, 본 조는 그 권리를 제한하지 않습니다.

The Institute and the Member shall first seek to resolve any dispute through consultation, and the Institute shall respond in good faith to a request for consultation made to the contact address in Article 20.본원과 회원은 분쟁이 발생한 경우 먼저 협의를 통한 해결을 시도하며, 본원은 제20조의 연락처로 접수된 협의 요청에 성실히 응합니다.
