The Institute does not collect your real name, address, telephone number, full date of birth, or resident registration number, nor any sensitive information such as race, religion, political opinion, or health data. The year of birth is collected; the month and day are not.본원은 실명, 주소, 전화번호, 생년월일 전체, 주민등록번호를 수집하지 않으며, 인종·종교·정치적 견해·건강 정보 등 민감정보도 수집하지 않습니다. 출생연도는 수집하나 출생 월일은 수집하지 않습니다.

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser. The cookies the Institute itself places are session cookies used in the member area for the single purpose of keeping you logged in. They are not used for advertising or for tracking you across other websites. 5. Retention Period and Disposal보유 기간 및 파기 절차

Information is retained only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of collection, as follows.개인정보는 수집 목적 달성에 필요한 기간 동안만 다음과 같이 보유합니다.

Where a specific retention period is required by law, the information is retained for that period and used for no other purpose. Once the retention period expires or the purpose is achieved, information stored in electronic form is deleted by a technical method that makes it irrecoverable, and information recorded on paper is shredded or incinerated.법령에서 일정 기간의 보존을 요구하는 경우에는 해당 기간 동안 보관하며 다른 목적으로는 이용하지 않습니다. 보유 기간이 지나거나 목적이 달성된 개인정보 중 전자적 형태로 저장된 정보는 복원이 불가능한 기술적 방법으로 삭제하고, 종이에 기록된 정보는 분쇄하거나 소각하여 파기합니다.

6. Provision to Third Parties개인정보의 제3자 제공

The Institute does not sell, rent, or provide your personal information to third parties. 7. Outsourcing of Processing개인정보 처리의 위탁

The Institute outsources the operation of the servers on which this website and its database run, and the sending of email, to (주)후이즈. The scope of the outsourced work is website and database hosting and the sending of email, and it continues for the term of the hosting agreement. The contractor is bound by contract to protect your information and may not use it for any purpose beyond the outsourced work. Apart from this, the Institute does not outsource the processing of personal information to any third party. 8. Server Location and Cross-Border Data Flow서버 소재지 및 국외 이전에 관한 사항

The Institute's servers, including those on which backups are held, are located within the Republic of Korea. The Institute does not use a content delivery network, and this website loads no external fonts or scripts, so opening it does not cause your browser to connect to any server outside the Republic of Korea. What this means for you: your information is protected under the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, and it is also subject to lawful requests from Korean authorities. Korean law, rather than the law of your country of residence, governs how the information is stored and protected. The Institute does not transfer your personal information out of the Republic of Korea. Should such a transfer become necessary in the future, the recipient, the country, the items transferred, and the purpose will be disclosed in advance and your separate consent will be obtained.본원은 이용자의 개인정보를 대한민국 국외로 이전하지 않습니다. 향후 국외 이전이 필요해지는 경우 이전받는 자, 이전되는 국가, 이전 항목, 이전 목적을 사전에 고지하고 별도의 동의를 받습니다.

9. Children and Minors아동 및 미성년자

Membership registration in one's own name is available only to persons aged 16 or older.본인 명의의 회원가입은 만 16세 이상인 사람만 할 수 있습니다.

Learners under the age of 16 are welcome to study with the Institute, but may not create an account themselves. A parent or legal guardian must create and hold the account in the guardian's own name; the guardian is the member, and is responsible for supervising the learner's use of the service.만 16세 미만의 학습자도 본원에서 학습할 수 있으나, 본인이 직접 계정을 개설할 수는 없습니다. 이 경우 법정대리인(보호자)이 자신의 명의로 계정을 개설하여 보유해야 하며, 회원은 법정대리인이고 학습자의 서비스 이용을 감독할 책임 또한 법정대리인에게 있습니다.

The age of 16 has been adopted because our members reside in many countries with differing standards: the Republic of Korea requires the consent of a legal representative for children under 14, the EU General Data Protection Regulation sets the threshold at 16 with member states permitted to lower it to 13, and the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act applies below 13. Applying the highest of these thresholds satisfies all of them.기준을 만 16세로 정한 이유는 본원의 회원이 기준을 달리하는 여러 국가에 거주하기 때문입니다. 대한민국은 만 14세 미만 아동에 대하여 법정대리인의 동의를 요구하고, 유럽연합 일반개인정보보호규정(GDPR)은 만 16세를 기준으로 하되 회원국이 만 13세까지 낮출 수 있도록 하며, 미국 아동온라인프라이버시보호법(COPPA)은 만 13세 미만에 적용됩니다. 이 중 가장 높은 기준을 적용하면 위 기준을 모두 충족하게 됩니다.

If the Institute becomes aware that an account has been created by a person under the age of 16, the account and all information associated with it will be deleted without delay. A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child has registered may request deletion at the contact address in Article 15, and the request will be handled promptly.만 16세 미만인 사람이 계정을 개설한 사실을 본원이 알게 된 경우, 해당 계정과 관련 정보 일체를 지체 없이 삭제합니다. 자녀가 가입한 것으로 판단되는 법정대리인은 제15조의 연락처로 삭제를 요청할 수 있으며, 본원은 해당 요청을 신속히 처리합니다.

10. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them정보주체의 권리와 행사 방법

As a member you may at any time exercise the following rights in relation to your own personal information.회원은 자신의 개인정보에 관하여 언제든지 다음의 권리를 행사할 수 있습니다.

5Withdrawal of consent — to withdraw consent previously given, at any time동의 철회 — 이미 제공한 동의를 언제든지 철회할 권리

Display name and password may be changed directly in your account settings. If you have forgotten your password, enter your registered email address on the login screen and a link to set a new password will be sent to that address. The link may be used once and expires one hour after it is issued. The Institute stores your password only as a one-way hash and cannot recover or tell you your existing password; a forgotten password can therefore only be replaced, not retrieved. Requests to access, correct, delete, suspend the processing of, or withdraw consent to the processing of your information may be submitted through your account settings or sent to the contact address in Article 15. To protect your account, the Institute may ask you to send the request from the email address registered to the account. Members residing in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom additionally have the right to data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with their national supervisory authority. Members residing in the Republic of Korea may report to the Personal Information Protection Commission or the Korea Internet & Security Agency.유럽경제지역 또는 영국에 거주하는 회원은 추가로 데이터 이동권, 처리에 대한 반대권, 자국 감독기관에 대한 불복 제기권을 가집니다. 대한민국에 거주하는 회원은 개인정보보호위원회 또는 한국인터넷진흥원에 신고할 수 있습니다.

11. Withdrawal of Membership회원 탈퇴 시의 처리

You may withdraw from membership at any time through your account settings, or by sending a request to the contact address in Article 15. Withdrawal requires no reason and is not subject to approval.회원은 계정 설정을 통해 또는 제15조의 연락처로 요청하여 언제든지 탈퇴할 수 있습니다. 탈퇴에는 사유가 필요하지 않으며 본원의 승인을 요하지 않습니다.

Upon withdrawal, your email address, display name, year of birth, membership level, registration route, date and time of last login, password hash, server access records, and all other automatically generated account information are deleted from the database without delay, and no separate copy is retained. Learning progress records and records of incorrect answers held in your account are destroyed together with it and cannot be restored afterwards, so please save anything you wish to keep before withdrawing. The same email address may be used to register again as a new member; a new account does not inherit any record from the previous one.탈퇴 시 이메일 주소, 표시용 이름, 출생연도, 회원 등급, 가입 경로, 최종 로그인 일시, 비밀번호 해시 값, 서버 접속 기록 및 그 밖의 자동 생성된 계정 정보 일체를 지체 없이 데이터베이스에서 삭제하며, 별도의 보관본을 두지 않습니다. 계정에 보관된 학습 진도 기록과 오답 기록도 함께 파기되며 이후 복원할 수 없으므로, 보관이 필요한 내용은 탈퇴 전에 저장해 주시기 바랍니다. 동일한 이메일 주소로 다시 가입할 수 있으나, 새 계정은 이전 계정의 기록을 승계하지 않습니다.

Where a law requires records relating to a transaction to be retained for a set period, only the items required by that law are retained for that period, separately from other member information, and are used for no purpose other than compliance.거래에 관한 기록을 법령이 일정 기간 보존하도록 요구하는 경우에는 해당 법령이 요구하는 항목만을 다른 회원 정보와 분리하여 그 기간 동안 보관하며, 법령 준수 외의 목적으로는 이용하지 않습니다.

12. Security Measures안전성 확보 조치

The Institute takes the following measures to keep your information secure: passwords are stored only as one-way hashes and are never held in their original form; communications between your browser and the server are encrypted; and access records are kept and reviewed. Access to member information is granted only to the personal information protection officer. The contractor named in Article 7 additionally holds the administrator privileges necessary to operate the server; the contractor accesses the database only where a user has reported a connection fault and inspection is required, and does not access it for any other purpose.본원은 이용자의 정보를 안전하게 관리하기 위해 다음의 조치를 취합니다. 비밀번호는 단방향 해시 값으로만 저장하고 원문을 보관하지 않으며, 이용자의 브라우저와 서버 간 통신을 암호화하며, 접근 기록을 보관하고 점검합니다. 회원 정보에 접근할 수 있는 권한은 개인정보 보호책임자에게만 부여합니다. 다만 제7조의 수탁자는 서버 운영에 필요한 관리자 권한을 함께 보유하며, 이용자가 접속 장애 등을 문의하여 확인이 필요한 경우에 한하여 데이터베이스에 접근하고 그 밖의 목적으로는 접근하지 않습니다.

In the event of a breach of personal information, the Institute will notify affected members and report to the competent authority in accordance with applicable law.개인정보 유출이 발생한 경우 본원은 관련 법령에 따라 해당 회원에게 통지하고 관계 기관에 신고합니다.

13. Fees and Future Collection이용료 및 향후 수집 예정 항목

The Service is provided on an annual fee basis, and fees are governed by Article 12 of the Terms of Service. Payment information will be newly collected once charging begins, and this Article is stated in advance so that you understand from the time you register what that will involve.본원의 서비스는 연 이용료 방식으로 제공되며, 이용료에 관하여는 이용약관 제12조에 정한 바에 따릅니다. 이용료 부과가 개시되면 결제 정보가 새로 수집되므로, 그 내용을 이용자가 가입 시점부터 알 수 있도록 본 조를 미리 명시합니다.

Payment itself will be handled by a payment service provider. The Institute will not receive or store your card number, and payment card details will be held by that provider under its own privacy policy. The name of the provider and the scope of the outsourced work will be stated in this policy before charging begins.결제 자체는 결제대행사가 처리합니다. 본원은 이용자의 카드번호를 전달받거나 보관하지 않으며, 결제 수단 정보는 해당 결제대행사가 자체 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 보유합니다. 결제대행사의 명칭과 위탁 업무의 범위는 이용료 부과 개시 전에 본 방침에 명시합니다.

The items above are not being collected at present. None of them will be collected without prior notice, and where the law requires consent, your separate consent will be obtained before collection begins.위 항목들은 현재 수집되고 있지 않습니다. 어떤 항목도 사전 고지 없이 수집되지 않으며, 법령이 동의를 요구하는 경우에는 수집 개시 전에 별도의 동의를 받습니다.

14. Transfer of Business or Merger사업의 양도 및 합병

If the Institute transfers its business or is merged, member information may be transferred to the successor.본원이 사업을 양도하거나, 합병되는 경우 회원 정보가 승계 주체로 이전될 수 있습니다.

In such a case the Institute will notify members in advance, by email and by notice on this website, of the fact of the transfer, the identity of the party receiving the information, and the date on which it takes effect. Members who do not wish their information to be transferred may withdraw from membership before that date, and the information will be destroyed.
